Solanum pimpinellifolium 'Everglades'
It has been our experience that Solanum pimpinellifolium 'Everglades' performs very well in our area in a warm season planting and does well in our hot and humid climate, as well as in sandy soils.
Pounds of fruit were produced, ranging in size from three quarters of an inch to a half an inch in diameter. Fruit production started around mid May and continued until about late July, with a repeat fruiting again in the fall. The fruit are light red with subtle streaks in the flesh of the fruit, making it different from other cultivars.
